  5.         Below you will find a list of the most common problems and errors.
  6.         If you follow the instructions below you should be able to resolve
  7.         99% of the problems.  If you still have problems then make a zip
  8.         file of the CNF and BATCH files and send them to me for evaluation.
  9.         Also include a message stating what error you are getting and what
  10.         the ENTIRE PROBLEM IS.  This will help speed up the process

  32.         Definition:
  33.         Overflow
  34.  
  35.         Solution:
  36.         This is usually an error DesqView operators will receive that have
  37.         a math co-processor.  Be sure to tell each window of DesqView a
  38.         math co-processor exists.

  40. GAPQBDR ERROR #52 or #64
  41.         Definition:
  42.         Bad filename or number
  43.  
  44.         Solution:
  45.         When this occurs there is usually a TYPO in the BATCH file or
  46.         CNF file for the door.
  47.         Make sure that your batch file is using the correct format
  48.                 ie.  BJ BJ01.CNF is correct
  49.                      BJ BJ1.CNF is incorrect
  50.         Make Sure that the CNF file has the right DROPFILE in it
  51.                 DOOR.SYS
  52.                 DORINFOx.DEF
  53.                 SFDOORS.DAT
  54.                 This is rare, except for those people that edit the CNF
  55.                 file manually instead of using the UTILITY INSTALL command.

  57. GAPQBDR ERROR #59
  58.         Definition:
  59.         Bad record length - usually a corrupted player.dat file
  60.  
  61.         Solution:
  62.         Well not to worry this has only happen twice so far that I'm aware
  63.         of.  Before you delete your PLAYER.DAT file move it to a temporary
  64.         location and restart the program.  If this solves your problem then
  65.         the PLAYER.DAT file was corrupted and cannot be repaired (SORRY).
  66.         Otherwise call the support BBS listed above and we'll go from there.

  68. GAPQBDR ERROR #62
  69.         Definition:
  70.         Input past end of file
  71.  
  72.         Solution:
  73.         You CNF file isn't configured right.  Use the UTILITY INSTALL
  74.         command to properly make the CNF file.
  75.  
  76. GAPQBDR ERROR #53 or #75 or #76
  77.         Definition:
  78.         Path or File access error
  79.  
  80.         Solution:
  81.         Make sure all your paths are correct, both the CNF and BATCH files
  82.                 ie.  Having C:\WILDCAT\DOOR\HANG in the CNF file for the
  83.                                                  location of the dropfile
  84.                      When maybe it should be the following
  85.                         C:\WILDCAT\WCWORK\NODE1
  86.         Just be sure and recheck those paths.

  91.  Problem: I use DesqView and all I get is garbage on my screen, but the
  92.           users see the color fine.
  93. Solution: You must load DVANSI in each window
  94.  
  95.  Problem: I can play the game fine but my users don't see anything on their
  96.           end.
  97. Solution: Make sure that you are giving the correct path to the dropfile in
  98.           your CNF file.
  99.           If using a converter to make the DROPFILE be sure that it is
  100.           passing the correct COMM PORT information.
  101.           If using a non-standard IRQ or COMM PORT other then 1 or 2, be
  102.           sure you have the correct IRQ and BASE address in the CNF file.

  104.  Problem: All my users see garbage on their end, but the game plays fine
  105.           locally.
  106. Solution: Make sure that you have set the right baud rate in the CNF file;
  107.           especially if running a HIGH SPEED MODEM.
  108.  
  109.  Problem: The users cannot hear the ANSI music.
  110. Solution: The user must use a communication program that supports ANSI
  111.           music.  This is usually turned on by using the ALT-M key.  I'm
  112.           only aware of two communication programs that support ANSI music,
  113.           RipTerm and Qmodem Pro.
